Steve Blose is a Co-CEO of NRI. Prior to co-founding NRI, he managed his personal investments from 2009 to 2010, leveraging his experience as a financials industry analyst to make successful investments in junior debt and preferred equity securities within banks’ capital structures. Previously, Steve was a research analyst at ParkCentral Capital Management/Perot Investments in 2008 where he invested in corporate securities across the capital structure and specialized in the banking and financial institutions sector. In 2007, he was a Director on the French banking group Natixis’ proprietary trading desk where he invested in special situations. From 2000 to 2007, Steve held positions of increasing responsibility at Brencourt Advisors, most recently as a Senior Vice President. At Brencourt, he utilized a variety of different investing strategies across numerous industries, including deep value equity, equity long/short, event driven investing, risk arbitrage, and high yield. During 1999, Steve was an analyst at Terrapin Partners, where he analyzed private equity investments for this then early stage merchant banking firm. Steve graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in economics.
Greg Metro is a Co-CEO of NRI. He has over 11 years of professional experience with 6 years in private equity and 5 years in strategy consulting and investment banking. Prior to co-founding NRI, Greg was a Vice President at JPMorgan’s Private Capital Asia in Hong Kong from 2008 to 2010, where he made middle market private equity investments in Asia including China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and Australia. His work in Asia also includes strategy consulting projects for Monitor Group in Indonesia and in the Philippines. Previously in the U.S., Greg worked on private equity investments at Monitor Clipper Partners, a leading middle market private equity fund, and in an operating role at one of its portfolio companies. Greg started his career working on capital raisings and M&A transactions in Merrill Lynch’s Financial Institutions investment banking group. Mr. Metro graduated summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in financial mathematics and was designated a University Scholar, which is the University’s highest academic honor.
